I recently posted a few photos from a event on the web and I received some questions on how I managed to do it so fast so there a diagram of my workflow to do it. I don’t share all my photos online or consider them my final and polished product – on the opposite I picked Instagram because it is suited for quick snapshots that can give a heads up of what is coming later, where most the users are image lovers and they can follow me without invading my personal life. The advantage for me is basically to post events that are happening right now.
There a big debate where Instagram is killing the photography as art but I think art is art, in any shape or form, so this is just another channel where you share, reach and connect with the world…

Wireless Transfer, it requires an Eye-Fi card and my D600 fully supports it. I tried the wireless WU-1b but comes short versus the Eye-fi for simple file transfer. I configured to send only the photos I lock on the camera, this way I go quickly through the last few shoots and mark the best 2-3 to transfer.
Image Editing to make collages and grids, I love when I want to share a story instead of multiple Instagram photos.
Image Editing, this is my secret weapon. It is so amazing that I wish it could edit RAW files, the interface is beautiful, simple and it takes very few minutes to edit the photo and bring magnificent results. I like to call it my mobile version of Lightroom (yeah for me, is that good!).
Social Network Sharing, depending on the photo I might echo it on Instagram and Facebook.
